Mercy Ships was established in 1978 by a couple, Don and Deyon Stephens, with a very special dream: to find a ship, equip it as a hospital, fill it with volunteer crew and sail round the world providing life-saving medical care to the poorest of the poor. 30 years later, Mercy Ships has visited 70 countries providing medical care and humanitarian services that transformed the lives of over two million people.
In March 2009, Ansell UK put together a variety of surgical gloves and donated them to Mercy Ships to use for their charitable work abroad. In addition, they also sent 100 Ansell bunnies to be given to the African children having operations. Mercy Ships gratefully received this donation and hope to work with Ansell again in the future.
